A yearning, a craving, a desire,
it lifts you up and takes you higher.
You are flying as high as you can go,
not expecting to hear the word 'no'.
But the time will always come,
and it feels like you've been shot with a gun.
You crash to the ground,
letting love emit a fatal sound.
Then it's gone, forever slain,
leaving you with an eternal pain.
The emotion so strong,
was indeed, too long.
